We’re a Legal Support Network partner

Last week, we were announced as an official partner to the Legal Support Network (LSN).

The LSN is a community for professionals in the legal sector where they can share knowledge, experience and best practice on everything from IT to practice management. Networking events are held across the UK throughout the year, where members can meet with each other and speak to industry experts.

It's an exciting time for technology in law firms. They're beginning to embrace the scalability and cost benefits that cloud services can bring, which is why we're so pleased to announce our partnership with LSN. We'll be at their regional networking events sharing our experiences delivering cloud services to the legal sector during our 11 years in business. You can also find us on their website.

In addition to working with the Technology groups in the LSN, we will also be getting involved in the Finance and Risk and Compliance communities.

Though we find that cloud computing adoption is driven by the IT teams, project often bring in more non-technical departments than traditional or more established technologies.

The finance department tend to favour the shift from Capital Expenditure to Operational Expenditure (though some may miss having the assets on the balance sheets).

In a highly-regulated industry like legal, adoption of cloud services is something that also needs the attention of the Risk and Compliance department. The idea of recovery from tape backups, taking days to complete, is just no longer acceptable for most firms. Cloud backup and DR give firms the confidence that, if they are affected by a disaster like fire, flooding or hardware failure, their operations will continue with minimal disruption.
