Databarracks reaffirms successful 2013 with another award shortlisting
Databarracks has continued its successful 2013 by announcing that it has been shortlisted for 'Cloud Company of the Year' in the SVC awards. This follows the recent news that it had also been shortlisted in the UK IT Industry awards, demonstrating its success in transitioning from online backup specialist to an infrastructure and disaster recovery service provider.
The Storage, Virtualization, Cloud (SVC) Awards reward the products, projects and services as well as honour companies and teams operating in the cloud, virtualization and storage sectors. Databarracks has been shortlisted in the "cloud" category for "Cloud Company of the Year".
Databarracks' inclusion is based on excellent customer references and a commitment to providing the most secure and supported cloud services. Managing Director, Peter Groucutt, states that the recent recognition is a testament to the achievements of the entire workforce:
"At Databarracks we've always considered ourselves as pioneers in cloud services, and being shortlisted for this award is proof of the hard work of our staff and the dedication to our customers over the last 10 years.
"Increasingly we are seeing more and more organisations moving away from traditional on premise IT infrastructure to a hosted environment. In fact, the recent research from the Cloud Industry Forum (CIF) says that approximately 69 per cent of UK organisations are now adopting at least one cloud-based service."
"We have moved with our customers. Originally we provided just with backup and disaster recovery services, but have since moved on to also offer services for production systems with email and Infrastructure as a Service. What remains the same is our commitment to excellent service and giving our customers the kind of service that we want to receive."
The award winners are decided by voting from end-users and the general public and will be announced during a gala evening in London on Thursday the 21st of November at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower, in Knightsbridge, London.
