Databarracks recognised as one to watch in Growing Business Awards
Cloud service provider Databarracks has been selected as a finalist in the Brand Builder category for the prestigious Real Business Growing Business Awards 2014.
The awards, held in association with Lloyds Bank and supported by the CBI (Confederation of British Industry), span 12 categories and aim to recognise and celebrate UK business excellence across all industries.
Last week, Databarracks were also announced as three-time finalists in the 2014 Storage, Virtualisation and Cloud (SVC) Awards. Managing director at the company, Peter Groucutt, says this success is a testament to his team: "Eleven years ago we started out as one of the UK's first online backup providers. Now, to be up against well-loved consumer brands like Brewdog and Hamilton & Hare is a real credit to the hard work of our team.
"2014 has seen a lot of growth for Databarracks; we've expanded our team by around 50% in the last 6 months alone to ensure our services and support remains first-class in such a quickly maturing cloud industry. To end the year with multiple award shortlistings is really quite humbling."
Located in south-west London, Databarracks has always been proud of it's British heritage, which is something the Growing Business Awards celebrate. Tim Hinton, managing director SME & Mid Markets at Lloyds Bank who are sponsoring the event, comments: "These businesses represent the best of British. Every one of these companies and entrepreneurs has shown that they have the tenacity and drive to innovate, grow and contribute to the country's ongoing economic recovery.
"The number and quality of entrants this year is truly extraordinary. Not only have we seen a record number of nominations but perhaps the strongest all-round set of nominations yet."
Katja Hall, CBI Deputy Director-General, adds: "The UK's economic recovery is on solid ground and the UK's growing businesses are playing a critical role in spurring growth on. These entrepreneurial firms are our future champion companies, and the CBI is proud to celebrate their successes and to support these awards."
This year's winners will be announced on the 25th November at the awards ceremony at London Marriott Grosvenor Square.
