Pastoral care in pandemic response: Looking after your people
In Business Continuity we often think about PPRS. That is People, Premises, Resources and Suppliers.
When we talk about People, we often fall into the trap of treating ‘People’ like those other inanimate aspects of our business. We think about whether our people are available or not – are they sick or able to work? What we often forget is that our People are people. They’re human beings and in incidents they are often put in difficult situations or under intense pressure.
The prolonged response to COVID-19 is forcing us to re-evaluate how we manage and support our people during an incident.
